Frederick enlisted into the R.A.M.C. (T.F.) on 16th November 1914, and was embodied into the 3rd Northern General Hospital. He was 36 years old; was a Spoon & Folk Tiler by trade; and living at 117 Hodgson Street, Sheffield at the time. He was appointed Lance Corporal on 11th October 1915, then promoted to Corporal the following day. He was first admitted into hospital (his unit) on 4th March 1915 for 9 days, then again on 25th July 1916 for 40 days, and then again on 19th July 1917, all three times suffering from nephritis. He died after 66 days of treatment in the 3rd Northern General Hospital, Sheffield. Frederick was the son of Ann Jackson of 123 Lancing Road, Sheffield; and the husband of Maria Jackson of 117 Hodgson Street, Sheffield.
