Richard enlisted on 7th September 1914. He was 35 years old; a painter by trade; and was living at 6 Meek Street, Chelsea, London at the time. He was taken ill on 10th October 1914, suffering with acute Bronchitis. He died early morning on the 16th of pneumonia bronchitis. He served 40 days with the colours. Richard was the husband of Matilda Hall of 64 Bramber Road, West Kensington. They had 6 children.
