Other Information:

James entered the war in France on 22nd August 1914, as part of the team for the Assistant Director of Medical Services, 4th Division. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for "Devotion" in France whilst serving attached to the 55th Division Headquarters. He continued to serve after the war under the service number 7245687, receiving the General Service Medal with clasp for his service in Iraq.
