Percy enlisted on 28th September 1915 and was embodied into the 3/1st West Lancashire Field Ambulance. He was 22 years old and a traveller by trade. He embarked on 28th November 1915 for Alexandria, arriving on 10th December he embarked again on the 27th for Mudros. He disembarked on 6th January 1916 and was taken on strength of the 87th Field Ambulance on 2nd February 1916. On 13th March Percy left with the unit for France, arriving on 20th. He was wounded in action on 3rd May 1917 but returned to duty the same day. Percy was the son of Thomas and Margaret McCulloch of 25 Ullswater Street, Everton, Liverpool.
