Other Information:Alexander was educated at Edinburgh University, where he graduated M.B. and C.M. in 1887. Before the war he was in practice at Raglan, Newport, Monmouth, where he was medical officer and public vaccinator of the Raglan District of Monmouth Union. Alexander took a commission as Captain in the R.A.M.C. [T.F.] in the South Eastern Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance on 19th October 1915. He joined the Meditation Expeditionary Force on 1st November 1915 and subsequently transferred to the Highland Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance on 3rd December the same year. Alexander died of pneumonia at the 1st Northern General Hospital, Newcastle-on-Tyne. He was the fourth son of the late Rev. Dr Logie, minister of Dirleton, East Lothian.
