Other Information:

Walter entered the war in Egypt on 10th April 1915. He gained a commission of temporary Quarter Master with the rank of Lieutenant on the 31st August 1916. Walter was warded the DCM "For conspicuous good work and devotion to duty. He displayed great energy in providing shelters and organizing a dressing station for the wounded, and showed untiring zeal in tending them."
