Other Information:Nathan enlisted on 2nd November 1915. He was 22 years and 60 days old; was a Blacksmith by trade; and was living in Chesterle-street, co Durham at the time. He embarked at Southampton on 1st March 1916, then disembarking the next day in Rouen, entered the war in France on 2nd March 1916. He was posted to serve with the 1st Field Ambulance the following week, on the 9th. Nathan received a gun shot wound and died in his unit the same day. He was the son of Robert and Emma Marshall of High Pickleton, Picktree, Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham.
