Other Information:

Alfred enlisted on 20th June 1912. He was 18 years old at the time. He entered the war in France on 18th August 1914 and served there for 17 months, then transferred to Salonica, serving there for 2 years and 7 months. He was discharged from the colours on 15th April 1919 due to sickness - malaria.
