Other Information:Thomas's headstone inscription reads, “Rest in the Lord”. He was the son of John and Alice McKeaveney of 175 Durham Street, Belfast, and the husband of Elizabeth McKeaveney of Dunbought, Clough, Co. Antrim [Information researched by Pat Geary] The War Dairy advises that there was a court inquest held on the 30th May 1916 at Headquarters of No 17 Field Ambulance to investigate the cause of injury sustained to Pte McKeaveney. The conclusion was that he died from internal haemorrhage resulting from being run over by a motor ambulance. The accident took place 8.45pm on the 28th May 1916.
