Other Information:Albert enlisted into the 2nd East Anglican Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., Territorial Force on 15th January 1912. He was 19 years old and a Boat Finisher by trade. He was embodied into the 2/2nd East Anglican Field Ambulance on 5th August 1914 then served in the UK. On 15th January 1917 he re-enlisted/continued to serve under the Military Service Act of 1916, then was posted to serve with the Regular Army, R.A.M.C. on 24th March 1917, joining them in Blackpool. On 17th May 1917 he embarked at Southampton, then disembarking the next day at Havre, entered the war in France on 18th May 1917. Re-embarking immediately at Havre, he was sent to Rouen where he joined the Cyclists Base Depot. On 26th May 1917 he was posted to serve with the 2nd Field Ambulance. He died from wounded received in action in No 4 Canadian Casualty Clearing Station. He was the husband of Rosina May Galey of 25 Botolph Street, Norwich.
