Other Information:

Edward enlisted on 17th April 1912. He was 20 years old at the time. He entered the war in France on 19th August 1914 with the 2nd Field Ambulance. On 23rd October 1916 he was admitted into No 3 General Hospital due to sickness, he was then sent onto No 3 Convalescent Depot on 1st November. On 14th November he was discharged to Base Details. On 16th January 1917 he was admitted into No 1 Canadian General Hospital, then evacuated back to the UK, arriving on the 20th January he was admitted into a hospital in Glasgow on the 22nd January 1917. He served in the UK for the remainder of the war. On 1st April 1918 he transferred to the Royal Air Force but re-transferred back to the R.A.M.C. on 10th October 1918. He continued to serve after the war, his service number changing to 207992, until 30th August 1920 when he was discharged unfit for further service.
