Michael entered the war in France on 19th August 1914. On 1st November 1914, whilst billeting at Ypres, bearers were sent out to collect casualties. Michael was one of them and was wounded. He died from his wounds the following day. He was the son of Patrick and Anne Neylon of Skagh, Inagh, Ennis, Co. Clare.
