John was a native of Hammersmith, London. He entered the war in France on 19th August 1914. He was attached to the 2nd Bn. Munster Fusiliers pending an appointment to a commission with the regiment when he was killed. A report was sent to the Officer Commanding 2nd Field Ambulance from the Commanding Officer of the regiment. John was the son of Joseph Tuohey and Alice E E Schofield (formerly Tuohey) of Railway Street, Long Lawford, Rugby.
