Other Information:Thomas Beardwood was an active member of the St John Ambulance Corps. He voluntarily enlisted into the RAMC at the age of 38 years and 3 months, and did his basic training at 'V' Company, Hut 12, 'E' block, Haig Hutment, near Farnham, Surrey. Thomas was 5 ft - 3 ins tall, his religion was Church of England and he was a Weaver by trade, although he never returned to work after the war because his war time experiences left him physically unfit (walking badly and body shakes).
