Other Information:

Thomas entered the war in France on the 25th July 1915. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. He tended and carried the wounded under intense fire continuously for thirty-six hours, displaying great courage and determination."
