Other Information:Garibaldi was educated at Pembroke, and then became employed at the Ocean Collieries, Blaengarw. He enlisted into the R.A.M.C. on 26th July 1915, and served with the Expeditionary Force, entering the war in France on 22nd November 1915, being attached to the 90th Field Ambulance and later to the East Anglian Field Ambulance. For the last four months of his service he was attached to the Australian Forces in Palestine. He was killed at Gaza by a shell exploding in an advanced dressing station, and was buried in Sampson’s Ridge Military Cemetery. Garibaldi was the fourth son of William and Martha [daughter of Dan Evans of Mynydd-du] Davies of Bryn Hywel, Efailwen, Clynderwen; and the husband of Margaret Elizabeth [daughter of Richard Pearce] Davies of 29 King Edward Street, Blarngarw, Glam. They were married at Bridgend, co Glamorgan on 28th March 1910, and had one child.
