Other Information:Tom enlisted on 6th September 1915. He was 19 years and 7 months old; was a Coal Miner by trade; and was living at 52 Kimberely Street, Featherstone, Yorkshire at the time. He embarked at Folkstone, then disembarking the same day at Boulogne, entered the war in France on 5th August 1917. He travelled from Boulogne to Rouen, arriving on the 7th August, he joined the Cyclists Base Depot there. He was posted to serve with the 141st Field Ambulance, joining them in the field. On 4th July 1919 he proceeded to No 1 Concentration Camp, Cologne for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit.
