Other Information:Stanley enlisted on 23rd February 1915. He was 30 years and 9 months old; was a Basket Maker by trade, and was living at 10 Pasture Terrace, Chapel Allerton, Leeds at the time. He is recorded on the CWGC website and in his service record as being killed on 20th August 1916, however in the unit war diary he is recored as being killed on the 19th, along with 58878 Pte A Brown. He was the son of Thomas and Ann Crossely of Carlisle, and the husband of Maud Crossley - they had 4 children.
