Other Information:Thomas enlisted on 26th February 1915. He was 36 years and 180 days old; was a Collier by trade; and was living at 13 Hawood Street, Bolton at the time. He embarked at Southampton on 10th August 1915, then disembarking at Rouen the following day, entered the war in France on 11th August 1915. On 24th December 1917 he was admitted 'sick' into hospital of his unit and evacuated to the Line of Communication. He re joined the unit for duty from the Cyclists Base Depot on 2nd February 1918. On 4th June 1919 he proceeded to No 1 Concentration Camp, Cologne for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit. He was transferred to Class Z Reserve on 8th July 1919. He was the husband of Mary Elizabeth Hope.
