Other Information:John enlisted into the R.A.M.C. on 4th September 1914. He was 29 years and 30 days old; and was a Hairdresser by trade. He embarked at Southampton on the 18th May 1915, then disembarking at Havre the next day, entered the war in France on 19th May 1915. On 26th September he received a shrapnel wound to his right eye and was admitted into his unit. He was then evacuated to No 10 Casualty Clearing Station and again onto No 26 General Hospital, where he died from his wounds. He was the husband of Margaret Brady of 24 North King Street, Dublin.
