Other Information:Thomas enlisted on 2nd November 1915. He was 25 years and 1 months old, a horse driver by trade, and was living at 5 Portland Square, Plymouth at the time. He was posted to “O” Coy on 12th November 1915, then on 11th December was posted to “N” Coy. He embarked at Southampton on 1st March - disembarking at Rouen he entered the war in France on 3rd March 1916. He joined the 44th Field Ambulance, in the field, on the 9th. (Service record) Thomas was killed during the Battle of Flers-Courcelette, knocked down by shell fire whilst bearing. Other R.A.M.C. also lost during this battle were Ayre, W.
