Other Information:

Arthur enlisted on 28th October 1915. He was 21 years and 5 months old; an outfitter by trade; and was single and living with his parents at 25 Burgage Street, Market Drayton. Shropshire at the time. He joined at Aldershot the same day, and was then posted to “D”Coy on 12th November. On 11th December was transferred to “N” Coy and remained with the company until he was sent to hospital on 3rd March 1916 - admitted as a case of pneumonia but was later diagnosed as suffering with tubercle of the lung. He died whilst in the hospital. Arthur was the son of Henry Thomas and Agnes Jane Saunders.
