Frank enlisted on 15th February 1915. He was 28 years old; was a Clerk by trade; and was living at 71 Beresford Road, Lowestoft at the time. He was admitted into the Isolation Hospital in Aldershot on 31st March 1915 - 15th October 1915, suffering with Cerebro Spinal Fever and Phthises. He was the son of James Butcher and Alice Fletcher of 65 Royal Avenue, Lowestoft.
