Other Information:Frederick had previously served in the South African War during 1900 - 1901 in the Militia. He enlisted into the R.A.M.C. on 23rd April 1904. He was 22 years and 3 months old at the time, and was a Labourer by trade. He entered the war in France on 16th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 7th Brigade. Royal Horse Artillery. On 9th May 1916 he was appointed acting Corporal, with pay, which reverted back to the rank of Private on 6th April 1918. During his service he received a mild gun shot wound to his right hand.
