Other Information:Robert was educated at Perth Academy, going onto Edinburgh University, he became a student in Arts - graduating M.A. in 1910, and in Medicine - graduating M.B., Ch.B. in 1914. After a house appointment at the Royal Infirmary he went into practice in Mid-Calder. In December 1916 he received a commission in the R.A.M.C., then entered the war in France on 6th January 1917 as Medical Officer to the Royal Garrison Artillery. Robert was wounded in an air-raid in September 1917. He was promoted to captain the following December, but after suffering, bravely borne, he finally succumbed to his wounds in No 14 General Hospital. He was the eldest son of David and Grace Rogers of Gellyburn, Murthly, Perthshire; and the husband of Mary F Rogers of Inverglen, Kingussie, Inverness-shire - married in 1915.
