Other Information:George was educated at Clifton College; at Pembroke College, Cambridge; and at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London - entering as a student in 1908. He obtained the diplomas of M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. in 1912, then served as a house-physician to the Bedford County Hospital, and as house-surgeon to the Metropolitan Hospital, Kingsland Road, N.E. He joined the R.A.M.C. in January 1915 and entered the war the same year. He was wounded whilst attending to wounded outside an enemy dug-out on the road between Albert and Bapaume, and died from his wounds the same day. He was the son of (Dr) George and Beatrice Eva Maw of Shortlands, Kent.
