Other Information:Albert lived Eylvan Cottage, Caterham Valley, Surrey. He entered the war in France on 14th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 1st Bn. Royal Scots Fusiliers. He was taken captive at Bertry by the Germans and sent to the prisoner of war camp Munster, arriving on 13th September 1914. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in recognistion of valuable services rendered in the performance of military duty - Devotion whilst a prisoner of war in Germany.
