Other Information:Edward was educated at Reading and Jesus College, Cambridge. He was a student at St Bartholomew's Hospital from 1912, and obtained the diplomas of M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P. in 1915. Afterwards he served as Medical Receiving Room Officer at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Edward gained a temporary commission in the R.A.M.C. at the rank of lieutenant on 14th July 1915. He was attached to the 12th Yorks and and Lancs Regiment as their medical officer and entered the war in Egypt on the 3rd January 1916. He was killed by a shell near Blairville, while attending to wounded in an advanced dressing station. Edward was the only child of Capt Benjamin Howard Cunnington (Wiltshire Regiment) of 33 Long Street, Devizes; and the husband of Maud Edith Cunnington.
