Other Information:Joseph attested on 24th June 1916 but was called up for service on 2nd August 1917. He was 28 years and 5 months old, a Sausage Maker by trade, and living at 14 Colt Terrace, Coatbridge, Lancashire at the time. He enlisted into the R.A.M.C. and was posted to 'R' Coy on 10th August 1917. On 25th February 1918 he embarked on H.M.H.S. 'Glenart Castle' and was reported missing, believed drowned on 26th after the hospital ship was torpedoed. His death was accepted by the War Office on lapse of time. Joseph was the husband of Margaret Jardine.
