Other Information:Albert enlisted into the R.A.M.C. on 16th November 1915, he was 25 years and 4 months old, a Tram Guard/Conductor by trade and living at 8 Acrefield Road, Wootton, Liverpool at the time. He was immediately sent to Army Reserve and mobilized on 5th September 1917, when he was posted to 'Z' Coy, Blackpool. He embarked on the Hospital Ship, 'Glenart Castle' on 25th February 1918 as one of the crew. On 26th, he was reported missing believed drowned after the ship was torpedoed - his death was accepted by the War Office on lapse of time.
