Other Information:

Ernest enlisted on 10th December 1915, he was 23 years and 242 days old, a cotton spinner by trade, and living at 358 Featherstone Road, Oldham at the time. He was sent to Army Reserve and mobilized on 23rd August 1916, however he was religated the next day and was re-mobilized again on 7th August 1917. Ernest was posted to "R" Coy on 9th August 1917. On the 29th August he was serving in a Military Hospital in Blackpool. He was reposted on 26th February 1918 to serve on the hospital ship 'Glenart Castle'. He was the husband of Mrs Hannah Bamford of 358 Featherstone Road, Oldham.
