Other Information:

John enlisted on 13th January 1912. He was 19 years and 3 months old, and was a Casual Labourer by trade. On 16th October 1912 he was posted to serve as a Cook in a military hospital. He entered the war in France on 22nd August 1914 as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 2nd Reserve Park. He served on the Western Front up until 19th April 1919, with the exception of a period in the UK from 10th October 1917 to 3rd April 1918. He was discharged "No longer physically fit for war service" on 23rd September 1919 suffering with Rheumatism
