Other Information:John enlisted on 7th May 1912. He was a Clerk by trade, and lived in West Croydon, Surrey. He entered the war in France on 20th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 6th Reserve Park. He served in France in the nursing sections and on water duties until 4th October 1917, when he was evacuated back to the UK after suffering from debility and bad nerves from July 1917. He was admitted into Croydon War Hospital on 5th October 1917. On 11th February 1918 he was posted to serve with No 8 Coy, and serving with them until he was discharged from the Colours on 30th May 1919.
