Other Information:Thomas entered the war in France on 4th April 1915. On 12th March 1917 he was posted to serve with the 141st Field Ambulance from No 3 Stationary Hospital. On 24th September 1917 he was tried by Field General Court Martial on the charge of using insubordinate language to his superior officer when on active service. He was found guilty, and sentenced to being reduced to the ranks and 90 days Field Punishment No 1. On 5th October 1917 his sentence was remitted to 28 days. He rejoined the unit for duty from A.P.M., 1st Division on 23rd October 1917. On 19th May 1919 he proceeded to the Concentration Camp for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit.
