Other Information:

George entered the war in France on 14th April 1915. He gained a commission at the rank of 2/Lieutenant in the 342nd Siege Bty. Royal Garrison Artillery. He was killed in action on 29th November 1917. He was the son of Samuel and Sarah Ann Baker; and the husband of Florence Baker of 80 Effingham Street, Rotherham.
