Henry was known to everyone as Vernon. He qualified M.B., Ch.B. at Edinburgh University in 1905. He entered the war in France on the 26th August 1916. After the war, Vernon spent his years as a much loved GP practicing from his home in Mansfield Road, Nottingham. It is believed he was also a Police Surgeon. He was interviewed on the BBC radio on his retirement in the 1950s. His father Charles Vernon Taylor was also a doctor, qualifying in 1870, as was his brother Aubrey.
