Other Information:Andrew resided in Edinburgh. He entered the war in France on 11th August 1915. On 12th March 1918 he suffered with shell gas poisoning �W�, but remained at duty. He was wounded in action again on 20th August 1918, suffering a slight G.S.W. Shell to his right forearm and was admitted into No 22 Casualty Clearing Station the following day. He returned to his unit for duty on discharge from hospital of No 22 Casualty Clearing Station on 25th August 1918. On 15th February 1919 he was appointed acting Staff Serjeant with effect from 18th January 1919. On 15th June 1919 he proceeded to No 1 Concentration Camp, Cologne for dispersal and was struck off the strength of the unit, having served without the war with the 141st Field Ambulance.
