Other Information:Lewis enlisted on 23rd September 1911. He was 18 years and 6 months old, and was a Farm Labourer by trade. He entered the war in France on 15th August 1914, as part of the Regimental Medical Officer's team for the 1st Bn. Scots Guards. He served in France until November 1918, when he admitted into No 26 General Hospital. On the 8th November 1918 he was admitted into Queen Mary's Military Hospital, Whalley, Lancs suffering with influenza. He was discharged from hospital the following 6th December. On 16th January 1919 he was posted from Blackpool to No 102 Coy for duty, where he remained until 5th February 1919 when he was sent to Aldershot Dispersal Station. He was discharged from the Colours the following 9th March. His address was Lower Whitley, Reading.
