Tom Harry Wild(e) is my Grandfather
He volunteered for service in the RAMC along with eight colleagues from Wath Main Colliery in the West Riding of Yorkshire where he was enlisted.
He did die with the sinking of the Royal Edward but two of his Wath colleagues survived. He is commemorated in Hyde Cheshire, his birth place; in Bolton on Dearne where he and his family resided, Wath on Dearne where he worked and on the Helles memorial in Gallipoli which me and my family have visited.
