On his return from the war he suffered severely with his chest - it is thought this is due to the gassing in the war and more specifically the use of mustard gas. My father (also Francis Clatworthy) who has also now sadly passed was around 11 years old which would have put his death around 1948. I do know granddad on his return from the war worked at the arsenal in Bridgend as a security officer.
