Other Information:John was educated at Tonbridge Road Council School. He enlisted into the R.A.M.C., T.F. on 19th April 1915. He was 16 years and 4 months old. He entered the war in France with the 2/1st Home Counties Field Ambulance on 24th January 1917. He was gassed and shortly after suffered from trench fever. He was eventually was discharged due to Kings Regulations 392 - XVIA (Surplus to miliary requirement (having suffered impairment since entry into service).
