Researchers and relatives have encountered difficulties in trying to locate RAMC personnel who served in the Great War.
This is because many documents just state that they served with the RAMC and not which Unit of the RAMC they served with. Once the Unit is known then more information can be gained, for example, the Divisions they were attached to and the battles and engagements in which they took part.
The aim of this site is to build a comprehensive list of all those who served in the RAMC during the Great War so that future generations will find this information easier. It is also intended to be the one place where they are all commemorated together.
This list is by no means complete and if you have any information that will help to complete this reference work then please feel free to let us know. |
