Other Information:William enlisted on 7th June 1916, but was on Army Reserve until 17th August 1917, when he was mobilized. He 40 years old, and was living at 11 Lea Path Road, Guildford at the time. After his training, he was posted to serve with No 35 Coy on 2nd October 1917. He developed a cough on 5th January 1918, and was taken in at the Royal Free Hospital on the 7th. He died 6 days later from heart failure following pneumonia. William was the son of John Osgood of 1 South Road, Stoughton, Guildford.
