Other Information:Harry enlisted on 7th August 1914 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Netley where he served as an orderly. He was 21 years old and a weaver by trade. On 14th August 1915 he was promoted to Corporal but on the 21st October he was admitted to the hospital with haemoptysis and was discharged on 18th December 1915. He was admitted again on the 29th April 1917 when he was diagnosed with a tubercule of the lung and recommended for review by the medical board. He was discharged as no longer fit for war service on the 31st May 1917 along with a recommendation that he required sanitorium treatment.
He died of tuberculosis at Lancaster. [Information researched and kindly provided by Chris Ludlam]
