Other Information:Frank was a dispenser by trade when war broke out. He enlisted into the R.A.M.C. on the 26th October 1915 under the rank of Sergeant. He was 27 years and 10 months old, and was described as being 5 feet and 11 1/2 inches tall, weighing 160lbs and of good physical development. However, Frank wore a stocking on his left leg due to extensive varicous veins so was embodied for Home Service only. Frank was admitted into the 4th Northern General Hospital on the 25th October 1918 suffering from headaches and general malaise. He died of Influenza and Broncal Pneumonia in hospital after serving 3 years and 9 days there. Frank was the husband of Lillie and the father of Peter Francis Crowder - born on the 24th October 1917, and the son of Henry Herbert and Mirian Crowder of The Laurels, Bardney, Lincoln.
