Ralph entered the war in France on 18th August 1914, as part of the team for the Assistant Director of Medical Services, 5th Division. *He died in 1930 while working at the War Office. His wife was Eva Francis (Ne Prince) whose brothers were both in the R.A.M.C. Possibly stationed at Stradia Collegio, Malta before the war. (*Information from grandson Richard Denton Elliott)
