Frank enlisted on 24th May 1911. He was 22 years and 2 months old and was a Clerk by trade. He entered the war in France on 22nd August 1914, as part of the team for the Assistant Director of Medical Services, 4th Division. On 12th October 1914 he gained promotion to the rank of Corporal. He served on Western Front until 28th November 1914 when he returned to the UK. He then served in Malta from 16th October 1915 to 31st May 1917, then from 1st June 1917 to 13th April 1919 he was serving with the British Salonika Force. During this time he gained promotion to the rank of serjeant on 18th February 1919, and had served with No 50 and No 82 General Hospitals. He returned to the UK on 14th April 1919, and was discharged "surplus to Military requirements (having suffered impairment since entry into the service)" on 11th May 1919. He was the son of William Page of New Cross, London.
