Other Information:Bernard was educated at Liverpool Institute and at Liverpool University. He was employed by the London County Council (Education Section) from 1913 until the war. He served in Egypt and Macedonia; was severely wounded near Salonika, torpedoed in Mediterranean. Bernard did not serve with the Territorial Force but was serving with a TF unit when he was killed.
