Other Information:Frederick enlisted on 20th October 1914. He was 18 years old, and an Engineer's apprentice by trade. He was posted to serve with the 2nd/1st Wessex Field Ambulance, and embarked at Southampton on 14th January 1916, disembarked at Le Havre the following day. He was granted leave back to the UK between 17th December and 27th December 1916 and on 5th January 1917 he was awarded his first Good Conduct Badge.
