Other Information:James gained his commission as Capt and QMS on the 10th November 1917. He received the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, and the Coronation Medal. James's Medal Index Card states that he entered the war in France on the 1st July 1918, it records him as serving with the 2/2nd East Lancs Field Ambulance, the CWGC records him serving with the 1/1st East Lancs Field Ambulance. James was the son of the late Master Gnr. W. Douglas (R.G.A.), and Isabella Douglas; and the husband of Margaret Douglas, 32 Comely Bank Street, Edinburgh.
